  • Stephen Curry and Canelo Alvarez were playing in a golf tournament together last year
  • After one of the rounds, Curry jokingly went over to try and spar with the multiple-time world champion
  • All it took was one jab from Alvarez to “knock out” the former NBA champion

Stephen Curry is one of the greatest players in NBA history, someone who has truly changed the game.

Curry, despite being one of the smaller players in the league, is one of the most dangerous, as he is the best shooter in history, and can punish teams from anywhere on the court. But could he be a dangerous boxer?

Stephen Curry tried to find out if he could be a successful boxer when he tried to spar with boxing superstar Canelo Alvarez.

The two champions were playing at a celebrity golf tournament, where Curry approached Alvarez for a spar. It didn’t last long, as one strike from Canelo ended the spar, as the two laughed and embraced afterward.

Stephen Curry and Canelo Alvarez were clearly joking around with each other and having fun while they played a few rounds of golf. It is always fun and heartwarming to see stars from different sports interact with each other.

Stephen Curry And Canelo Alvarez Are Two Of The Best In Their Sports

Alvarez and Curry seem to be friends, especially seen from their interaction above. On top of that, Curry attended one of Alvarez’s fights to see him win and even did his own iconic ‘night-night’ celebration after Canelo got the win. Alvarez is a multiple-time world champion, who has won the world title in several weight classes.

Stephen Curry, much like Canelo, is a multiple-time champion. Curry has won 4 NBA championships in his legendary career, including a Finals MVP in 2022.

On top of that, Curry has won 2 MVP trophies, including being voted unanimous MVP in 2016, the only player to ever do so.

Stephen Curry has some of the best performances in the history of the league, proving himself to be an incredible scorer. During his career, Curry has averaged 24.6 points, 6.5 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.

Stephen Curry has been a 9-time NBA All-Star during his career. On top of this, he has been named to 9 All-NBA Teams, including 4 All-NBA First Team selections.

There is no denying the impact Curry has had on the game. His ability to shoot the ball inspired the three-point shooting focus that most of the league has adopted today. Stephen Curry will go down as one of the best to ever play the game.
