Being in the NBA means that teams cannot be successful all the time. Teams will find periods of success, and then go into a rebuild, where they try to acquire assets and find new young players from the draft to develop them. And these rebuilds can often see teams putting out weak lineups during the course of a season.

Bleacher Report on Twitter asked fans to name some lineups from their NBA teams that forced them to realize that their team was in a rebuild. Fans posted several lineups, including some of the best and most popular franchises in NBA history, such as the Knicks, Lakers, Celtics, and Warriors.

The lineups mentioned by fans were derided as some of the weakest in NBA history. It was clear that these teams were in a period where they were not contending for championships or even a playoff spot. But fans of these teams still remember these lineups, but not fondly.

Which NBA Lineup Is The Weakest Ever?

The franchises mentioned in the thread like the Lakers and Warriors have obviously seen better line-ups, especially considering the trophies they have been able to win during the course of their history. But without these lineups, would fans be able to appreciate the good times for their favorite teams?

While these lineups were far from ideal, they also allowed these franchises to collect assets, pick high in the draft, and build a solid team that could one day get back to championship success. But some of these lineups, like the Golden State Warriors, were born out of circumstances.

The NBA has seen these franchises find success, and then dip back into a period of rebuilding. Recently, Fadeaway World ranked NBA franchises based on their attendance. Lineups like these couldn’t have helped some of the teams on this list.
