Former NBA star Charles Barkley was all praise for the Sacramento Kings during the American Century Golf tournament.

Speaking about the Kings, Barkley had a quick and wholesome response saying:

“[Mike] Brown did a tremendous job, obviously he won Coach of the Year. I am really happy for Sacramento because they got a great fanbase and the NBA is better when Sacramento is doing well.”

Barkley was spot on in his praise for the Kings, who were one of the more improved teams in the NBA and were at one point billed as favorites to win over the Golden State Warriors in the first round.

They made the postseason for the first time in 16 years and that saw them earn lavish praise from players — former and present.

Sacramento head into the 2023-24 season with their core trio of De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Harrison Barnes. Whether they can repeat the magic of the past season will be the question on everyone’s minds.

The Kings Have A Perfect Addition In Sasha Vezenkov

Earlier, the franchise turned heads when it was reported that they would be landing Euroleague star Sasha Vezenkov. The reigning Euroleague MVP will be on a three-year deal with Sacramento.

“Sasha Vezenkov – a 6-foot-9 reigning EuroLeague MVP – has agreed on a three-year, $20 million deal with the Sacramento Kings, his agents Mark Bartelstein and George Roussakis of @PrioritySports and Nick Lotsos of Team Lotsos tell ESPN,” said insider Adrian Wojnarowski.

Vezenkov averaged 17.6 points in 40 games played with the Greek side this season and now is set to join the best league in the world to make a difference for the Kings.

Expect another big season from the Kings this time around.
