NBA fans are always quick to roast and troll players that aren’t doing too well, until they get reminded about the gulf in ability between them and the professionals.

Jalen Green has received his fair share of criticism since he was picked 2nd overall by the Houston Rockets in the 2021 NBA draft. He has shown signs of his ability but has yet to truly break out at the level he is expected to. Regardless, he can still destroy any fan, as he showed in a recent clip that went viral.

Green hit several fancy dribbles before putting the ball between the defender’s legs, stepping back, and draining a three while walking away. The move was ice cold, and fans in the replies accepted that the level of the NBA is simply too high above the average player’s capabilities.

These the dudes that be hot takin and trolling on this app about NBA players who score 20+ every night 😭😭😭 https://t.co/zAw4kYFsqL

Brian Scalabrine is famous for once telling NBA fans that he is closer to LeBron James than they are to him. And one fan was reminded of that after watching this video.

Reminds me of the time @Scalabrine cooked random dudes on the blacktop. They didn't stand a chance. https://t.co/D7XDEDN288

It must be incredible to be able to play against an NBA star, but one fan thinks that people need to stop trying as they end up looking quite foolish when they do.

Smh don’t know why y’all be trying these NBA players lol 🤣 https://t.co/I3JlrJZmJP

And it wouldn’t be NBA social media if someone didn’t go over the top talking about the situation. One fan thinks this means Jalen Green is ready to explode in the NBA during the coming season.

This is a natural conclusion for any matchup involving an NBA player and a regular dude. Jalen Green is a 2nd overall pick, too, meaning his talent level is quite high, even for the NBA. The Houston Rockets have struggled in recent seasons, but Jalen Green and his young teammates do have the talent to make noise in the coming years.

Jalen Green Admitted He Feels The Need To Defend Himself On Social Media

Jalen Green has averaged 19.9 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists in his two seasons in the league. These aren’t bad numbers for a 20-year-old, but his efficiency leaves a lot to be desired. Green has shot 42% from the field, 34% from three-point range, and 79% from the free-throw line. That kind of play can often lead to criticism.

Green admitted that he has a burner account on Twitter to defend himself after a poor game since fans can be quite ruthless. But he needs to find a way to be unaffected by that and work to take a leap next season. Cooking regular dudes seems fun, but it won’t matter if he can’t do it efficiently against the real ballers next year.
