Who is the greatest player of all time? The debate always comes down to two names – Michael Jordan and LeBron James. While most believe MJ is the GOAT, James is viewed as the close second.

Speaking of which, former Chicago Bulls player Scott Williams recently shared his views on the same. Williams revealed that LeBron was the first guy who was closest to Jordan regarding desire, competitiveness, hunger, and talent.

“I played with a lot of really talented guys… LeBron was the first guy closest to the desire, the competitiveness, the hunger, and the talent. All those things that I saw in MJ on a daily basis, LeBron was doing at 19 years old, and that blew my mind. So, there’s no doubt tha he’s gone on to be in that conversation. And I don’t care which way you lean. I’m happy to see a guy that’s been a face of the NBA for so long, handling himself so well outside of the lines of basketball; building a school, being civic-minded.

“All those types of things are so impressive to me. And when people ask me who’s the greatest of all time, I’m very hesitant to give an answer, because I don’t want anybody to think that I would think that one is not as good as the other, because they’re both phenomenal players. To me, they’re 1 and 1A how good they are. But if I had to get the ball in one person, the last-second shot, I’m giving it to No. 23.”

Williams denied picking a GOAT between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. But at the same time, he would want the ball in Mike’s hand if it came down to a last-second shot.

Either way, James and Jordan are unarguably two of the best players to ever play the game of basketball and fans need to appreciate their greatness.

LeBron James Might Not Be On The Lakers Roster Next Season

LeBron James helped the Los Angeles Lakers reach the 2023 Western Conference Finals. Despite averaging 27.8 PPG, 9.5 RPG, and 10.0 APG, including a 40-point Game 4 performance, the Lakers were swept by the Denver Nuggets.

Following the Lakers’ exit from the postseason, James dropped a bomb about his potential retirement from the NBA. Since then, there are many rumors about the 38-year-old’s future in the league.

It was recently reported that even if James doesn’t retire from the NBA, there is a chance that he leaves the Lakers.

After all, the window for winning the fifth ring of his career is closing as we speak for the King. Although LeBron is in the twilight years of his career, there are plenty of teams that would love to trade for him, if he becomes available this summer.
