Bam Adebayo Isn’t Worried About Game 6: “Why Would We Lose Confidence? When We Started This Journey, Nobody Believed In Us.”

Bam Adebayo is still playing with confidence as the Heat head into Game 6 with a 3-2 lead after consecutive losses in Games 4 and 5.

The Miami Heat may have taken a 3-0 series lead in the Conference Finals but now have their backs against the walls after two losses and a potential series-tying Game 6 in Miami.

The Heat are having an incredible run as the eighth seed but their lack of talent compared to the Celtics is finally starting to show. Bam Adebayo isn’t worried about what’s coming next because nobody expected Miami to make it this far.

“Why would we lose confidence? When we started this journey, nobody believed in us. Everybody thought we were gonna be out in the first round, everybody thought we were going out in the second round, and now we’re here 1 game away. For us, we’ve always had confidence and that’s not gonna go away.”

"Why would we lose confidence? When we started this journey, nobody believed in us… Now we're here 1 game away [from going to the Finals]. For us, we've always had confidence and that's not gonna go away."

Adebayo struggled in Game 4 but had a better performance in Game 5 with 16 points and 8 rebounds. He impacted the game defensively and was arguably the only Heat player that played solid defense on the night. The team will need more scoring from him next game, especially with the struggles of the role-players and even Jimmy Butler.

The Heat Are Ready To End This In Miami

With Game 6 being the final home game for Miami in the series, they have the best chance of finishing this series there. Jimmy Butler is exuding confidence in his squad to close this out in Miami, but the Celtics have looked dangerous in the last two games. They have had consecutive games of shooting above 50% from the field and above 40% from three.

Miami’s defense has been their calling card all playoffs long but it has struggled against the Boston offense which has been one of the strongest in the league all season. If the Celtics start missing shots, as they did in Game 3, games can snowball out of their control. The Heat need to prioritize limiting that and hopefully, their offense can excel in transition with spacing.
