The Miami Heat dominated the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, upsetting the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference and becoming the sixth team in NBA history to achieve this feat.

Jimmy Butler started his stellar performances during this series, dominating the Bucks and especially Jrue Holiday. As one of the best defenders in the league, Holiday presented a big challenge for Butler, but the swingman torched the point guard, taking his team to the win. During a recent interview with Sideline Stroll with Ros, Holiday told Ros Gold-Onwude that Butler was simply on another level.

“I’m getting my a** busted,” he said. “A lot of plays Jimmy [Butler] made, there was nothing that I could do. There’s nothing that anybody could do. It didn’t matter if it was Brook [Lopez] on him, or LeBron [James] or [Michael] Jordan on him. It didn’t matter who was on him. Jimmy was playing at a different level.”

Truth be told, that wasn’t a good matchup for Holiday. Or anybody that guarded Butler after him. As soon as the postseason started, Playoff Jimmy made an appearance and he hasn’t stopped shocking the NBA world.

The Heat are one game away from returning to the NBA Finals after three years. They have dismantled the Boston Celtics and even after getting blown out in the last game, Butler showed his confidence

Jimmy Butler Has Been On A Tear In The 2023 NBA Playoffs

The Heat have done a terrific job stopping their rivals, and Butler has played a big role in that. He has averaged 29.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 14 games during this year’s playoffs, leading the Heat to a privileged position.

They could become the first No. 8 seed to make it to the Finals since the 1998-99 New York Knicks, and they could keep making history with a win against the Denver Nuggets in a potential series. First, they need to close the deal against the Boston Celtics tonight. Once that’s done, the Heat will have a clear picture of what to do against their hardest challenge in the postseason.

As long as they have Jimmy, Miami will stand a chance against anybody, and they are well aware of that.
