Shaquille O’Neal Defends LeBron James Amid Potential 4-0 Sweep: “I’m The Biggest Superstar To Ever Play The Game. I’ve Probably Been Swept The Most.”

Shaquille O'Neal doesn't think LeBron James' legacy is going to be affected if he gets swept given how he remained a superstar in the league.

Shaquille O’Neal has had his fair share of playoff heartbreaks and triumphs, and he can sympathize with the situation LeBron James is in right now.

James and the Lakers can potentially be swept out of the Western Conference Finals by the Denver Nuggets, and Shaq reminded people that getting swept doesn’t hurt the superstar status of the elite players.

“I’m the biggest superstar to ever play the game. I’ve probably been swept the most.”

Charles Barkley tried mocking Shaq for his record of 10 losses via sweep in the playoffs, but Shaq reminded Chuck of the jewelry he earned over the course of his career.

Charles Barkley: “You can’t tell me you’re a great player if you can’t win 1 out of 4 games.”

Kenny Smith: “So you’re saying Shaq’s not a great player?”

Charles Barkley: “I’m saying he shouldn’t have got swept that many times.”

Shaquille O’Neal: “I can’t do it on my own. I won Finals MVP, stop it.

Charles Barkley: "You can't tell me you're a great player if you can't win 1 out of 4 games."

Kenny Smith: "So you're saying Shaq's not a great player?"

Chuck: "I'm saying he shouldn't have got swept that many times."

LeBron James and the Lakers are looking solid in Game 4, with James scoring 31 points in the first half as the Lakers lead 58-73. They can take a 20-point lead going into the final quarter and seize control of this game and ensure we get to see Game 5 from Denver.

Avoiding The Brooms

Game 4 has been great for the Lakers, as a risky lineup change has worked in their favor. Rui Hachimura has impacted the game on both ends of the floor with his 10-points and 3-rebound first-half performance. Anthony Davis is struggling to put the ball in the basket with a 2-7 start from the field, but his defense is impeccable as usual.

The Lakers need to make the most of Denver’s defensive holes and keep pushing in the third quarter. If they do that, getting this win will be a formality and this will go down as one of LeBron’s classic playoff performances.
