The Boston Celtics are undoudebly the most talented team remaining in the NBA playoffs. But against a fearless Heat team that is well-coached, well-disciplined, and getting hot at the right time, it hasn’t mattered at all.

The truth is, while the Heat must be given credit for how they’ve dominated their playoff opponents so far, the Celtics have to be feeling let-down with how this season is playing out. To fall apart after looking so dominant all year is a tough pill to swallow, but young star Jaylen Brown did hie best to keep his team in good spirits after the loss in Game 3 on Sunday.

“I don’t think so. I would hope not,” said Jaylen on if the Celtics are ready to give up. “That’s not what I’m about. I’m gonna fight to the end. So we’re gonna try to get our guys ready for the next game. And we come out, and we put our best foot forward. At the end of the day, that’s what we gotta do. That’s just how I see it. The series isn’t over yet. It’s looking bad but you come out, have some pride about yourself, and put your best foot forward.”

to say things are looking bad might be an understatement for the Celtics right now. While calling the season a total failure might be a stretch given where they are, this team had title aspirations this year that they couldn’t meet.

The question is, how much fight does this Celtics group have left? After essentially surrendering in Game 3, fans aren’t too optimistic that this group can bounce back and recover from this collapse.

Can Celtics Still Win The Series?

No team has ever come back from down 3-0 to win a playoff series, but the Celtics could be the team to break that streak. If they can revive their old defense and start hitting perimeter shots, it might be enough to at least extend the series another day.

“Yeah, I think it’s just tough as it is, as tonight was we just got to try to move on,” said Jayson Tatum. “Prepare. Get ready. Practice. Film and stuff for tomorrow. Obviously, we’re in a tough position, but we’ve got to have some pride and bounce back and just be better come Tuesday.”

All the Cs can do now is take it one game at a time and hope that something goes their way. But if history is anything to go by, this series is already over and the Celtics are as good as dead in these playoffs.
