The Los Angeles Lakers have had somewhat of a fairytale run to the Western Conference Finals after their horrible start to the campaign but it seems this is about as far as they go.
A 119-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets has seen them fall down 0-3 in the series and their fans are already looking toward the offseason, as they discussed whether the team should go for Kyrie Irving.
One fan believes it will undo all the good they did at the trade deadline this season.
Well if you think it’s worth by undoing what the lakers did in the trade deadline. Getting him will definitely be over for Dlo, Rui, Vando, Beasley, Bamba.

The Lakers need another star as per one fan.
Yea it’s whatever. Lebron clearly has taken a step into Father Time and AD lord who knows what we gonna get for him in consecutive games. We need another star

A fan would be glad to have Kyrie as long as he takes a pay cut.
If he takes a paycut, I'll be glad to have him. Need AR and Rui on the team

D’Angelo Russell’s struggles have led to one fan wanting Kyrie over him next season.
DLo literally played himself out of a contract smfh, he‘s literally unplayable, Kyrie it is next szn

One fan doesn’t want Kyrie as he wants the team to invest in younger players.
Nope, not Kyrie. Invest in the younger players.

It will be a big risk to acquire Kyrie which is why they are split. On one hand, he is an incredible talent who just averaged 27.1 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 5.5 APG, and 1.1 SPG this season but, on the other hand, drama is never too far away when he’s in the building. The Lakers will also almost surely have to part with a lot of the pieces they acquired before the trade deadline and that isn’t ideal either. This group gelled so well together and tearing it all down so soon might be a mistake.
It Seems Unlikely That The Lakers Will Go After Kyrie Irving
As far as the Lakers go, a report indicated that they won’t go after Kyrie this offseason. They had certainly entertained the idea previously but seem to have no interest in making a move for him now. Will that stance change if they get swept by the Nuggets? Perhaps it might, especially if LeBron James starts putting a lot of pressure on them.
For now, reports indicate that the Lakers want to re-sign both Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura, which would mean they would have no cap space to sign Irving. The only way they could get him after that would be a sign-and-trade with the Dallas Mavericks.
