The Los Angeles Lakers are facing a big challenge tonight against the Denver Nuggets, and they need to be focused on getting their first win of the 2023 Western Conference Finals.

The Purple and Gold suffered two big losses in Denver and they’re set to take the first win in Game 3 in front of their fans. The NBA announced the three referees for tonight’s game, with Scott Foster being the crew chief.

Fans didn’t take long to react to this, speculating about the outcome of the game while implying the league assigned Foster for this game to try to prevent the Nuggets from winning.

Some predicted how many free throws the Lakers would get.

A couple of them assumed the Lakers will win tonight.

One fan dramatized how Foster would feel entering the arena to officiate this game.

Another one used Foster’s nickname for a movie poster, calling it ‘The Extender.’

This is one of the most controversial referees in the league right now, and besides his record against Chris Paul, he’s been involved in other situations. These playoffs, whenever he’s announced to officiate a game, everybody reacts, and this time wasn’t an exception.

We hope that the game is decided by the players and nothing strange happens since that’s the last thing the NBA wants. Referees were criticized in Game 2 and the league needs something different now.

The Los Angeles Lakers Need A Win Tonight

The Lakers are indeed in a complex position after their adjustments didn’t work against Denver in Game 2. Nikola Jokic still had a good game, and Jamal Murray took over in the fourth quarter, leading his team to a big win once again.

LeBron James hurt his ankle during a play with Aaron Gordon, and even though he’s playing tonight, the Lakers need to be careful about it. This team is yet to lose one game at home this postseason, and the Nuggets will try to end that streak.

We’re ready to see a big battle, and many will be paying attention to what Foster does in difficult moments.
