The Los Angeles Lakers appear to be firm favorites as they gear up to lock horns against the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the Western Conference playoffs.

NBA fans believed that James and LA would conquer the series in Game 6 after the Warriors booked their second-round matchup after winning the series 4-3 against the Sacramento Kings.

One fan believed that this was pretty much a finals square-off.

Some believed a Game 7 was on the cards.

I can’t call it. But it’s going 7 https://t.co/STUk7vWRS4

Lakers fans believed it would be a Game 6 win for LA.

Warriors fans weren’t far behind with their cheering.

As far as bold claims go, one Lakers fan called it a 4-0 win in their favor.

The support for the Lakers is understandable as they eliminated a second-seeded Memphis Grizzlies 4-2 in the first round of the playoffs, but their competition in the second round are defending champions who bounced from a 0-2 scoreline against the Sacramento Kings. This will surely be one series that will go down the wire.

Draymond Green Is Happy To Face LeBron James And The Los Angeles Lakers

Relishing the matchup against the Lakers was Warriors forward, Draymond Green. Speaking to the media in the aftermath of the Game 7 win, the seasoned veteran shared his two cents on the upcoming clash.

“This series against the Lakers is going to be epic,” Green said. “You have Steph, you have Bron doing it all over again. We have never played against the Lakers in a playoff series. There are a ton of little things going on. What I’m trying to say is stop trying to turn the page on us so fast, stop trying to turn the page on Bron so fast.”

He further added: “We get so caught up in what’s the next thing that we don’t appreciate the current. You get to the next thing and you look back like, ‘I wish we still had that.’ For me, and our guys, we’re gonna appreciate this every step of the way. Also, put ourselves in the best position to succeed. You go from there and live with those results.”

Surely, this will be a clash for the ages. James has trailed Golden State 1-3 in all of his encounters with the side. Now, he will be keen to get the better of the latter as both sides stake a claim for the title.
