The first-round series between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings is tied at two games apiece. Game 4 between the two sides finished at a score of 126-125 in favor of the Warriors.

Harrison Barnes could have won the game for the Kings in the fourth quarter. However, the veteran forward missed a wide-open game-winning shot which led to some heartbreaking reactions from the Kings’ bench.

The above-attached video went viral on social media and showed the emotional reactions of the players alongside the crowd after Barnes’ missed a three-point attempt.

Considering a Game 4 win would have put the Kings in a commanding 3-1 lead in the series, it’s understandable that the players were heartbroken.

Barnes, on the other hand, didn’t think a lot about missing the shot. He believes after pulling himself together following the 2016 NBA Finals, missing one shot is not a huge deal for him.

Mike Brown Called Out The Kings Players After The Game 4 Loss vs. The Warriors

Winning Game 4 was crucial for the Warriors as they have now tied the series. As for the Kings, they have now fumbled a 2-0 lead vs. the defending champions.

Keeping that in mind, head coach Mike Brown was understandably furious with the performances of his players in Game 4.

“All of our guys are driving into two, sometimes three guys in transition and begging for a call. We can’t continue to do that. … We wasted a ton of possessions in transition, driving, and just throwing up some crazy stuff. Space the floor. Stop and spray the ball. If we missed a wide-open three, that is way better than driving and throwing up some crazy stuff.

“At the end of the day, this is what I keep telling our guys, you’re gonna have to knock these guys out. You can’t rely on the referee, because if I’m a referee, the shots that we’re taking at the rim in transition, I ain’t call it either cause we’re begging for a foul.”

The series is far from over for the Kings, and they will play the next game in front of the home crowd. It will provide them with an advantage over the Warriors in Game 5. Hopefully, they can reclaim their lead and go on to upset the Dubs in the first round.
