Draymond Green is set to make his return to the court this afternoon after being suspended for Game 3 of the Golden State Warriors vs. Sacramento Kings first-round series.

The big man hasn’t suffered any injuries or anything, but he’ll be coming off the bench to start this game.

“Warriors are bringing Draymond Green off the bench today in his return from suspension for Game 4 vs. Kings, sources tell. Golden State’s Game 3 winning starters were Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole, Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Kevon Looney,” Shams Charania reports.

Even though Draymond is a crucial part of the Warriors’ success, this decision makes sense, as this lineup started Game 3 and went on to win the game against the Kings in a big fashion.

Shams adds that Green himself gave this advice to Steve Kerr.

The suggestion of coming off the bench was in part from Draymond Green, who had a conversation about it with Steve Kerr on Saturday, sources tell me and @anthonyVslater. https://t.co/ztsjjF51QB

This doesn’t mean that Draymond will disrupt anything, but this is the right move to make for the Dubs. The controversial player was suspended for Game 3 after stomping on Domantas Sabonis’ chest in Game 2, creating a lot of debates around the league.

Now, he’s back and ready to beat the Kings. Green has unfinished business with this team, and everybody expects him to go off on his rivals, although it won’t necessarily be on the scoreboard.

Draymond Green Criticized The NBA For Creating Rules To Justify His Suspension

Meanwhile, Green has been very vocal about his suspension, even calling out the NBA for creating rules that justify this decision.

“They created ‘Draymond rules’ before, them s**ts don’t work. Here I am, still sitting here, still winning. They created those rules before. They didn’t work. They still don’t work. So, maybe they did [create them],” Green said. “But Draymond won’t be moved by no ‘Draymond rules.’ I will continue to play the game how I play the game, operate how I operate, be exactly who I am because that leads to winning. If I was losing they wouldn’t be creating Draymond rules, so as long as they’re creating ‘Draymond rules’ that means we’re winning.”

Green is fed up and this can be great or terrible for the Warriors, depending on how he uses that energy. Either way, everybody expects him to help his team get the second win of the series before heading back to Sacramento. This was already a very entertaining duel and Draymond’s return will add more spice to it.
