Zion Williamson was flying high to start the season, he was averaging 26 points and 7 rebounds per game for 29 games. Understandably, fans are not too thrilled about this. The New Orleans Pelicans have managed to get themselves in with a shot to qualify automatically for the playoffs. But without Zion Williamson, it’s unlikely that they will be able to win many series or make a deep run. The play-in tournament seems like the place the Pelicans will end up in, but this fan thinks that they will need Zion if they are to win that game: “Pelicans need Zion to at least win the play-in gm!!”

Zion Williamson’s Injury Return Has Been A Weird Situation
A hamstring injury takes time to heal, but Williamson has missed significant time now. There was reportedly optimism within the Pelicans that he would be back before the regular season ended, but that now looks unlikely. And with the team needing him to take the next step, his lack of availability is starting to become a bit of a problem.
There are already those that think the Pelicans should trade Zion while his value is still high, but that seems unlikely. He is a superstar they drafted, and as seen with Joel Embiid, these things can sort themselves out. But Zion Williamson does need to return to the court soon, or the noise around all this won’t stop.
