NBA Fans Decide Who Should Go To The Bench Between 6 Superstars: “LeBron, It Is 2023”

The modern-day NBA is full of superstars in all positions. Players such as LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, etc., are fan favorites, and evidently, they love to talk about them in hypothetical situations.

Speaking of which, the popular Instagram page ‘Dunk Topic’ recently posted a graphic featuring Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid. The page wanted to know which player would come off the bench if a hypothetical starting lineup was formed among the six superstars.

Upon seeing the graphic, NBA fans decided to give their opinion on which player would be pushed to the bench. Here’s what most fans had to say about the same.

Comments have been edited for clarification:

“It’s 2023. Bron to the bench.”

“KD, he’s always hurt now.”

“All these guys are better than LeBron rn. But it’s either him or KD to the bench.”

“A good starting five would be LeBron, Luka, KD, Giannis, and Joker; that’s the best fit-wise and maximizes defense/offense.”

“Jokic. Between Bron and Luka, we are getting all the distro and playmaking we need. Joel and Giannis gonna handle the big man duties. KD is KD. Jokic can come off the bench when somebody is tired.”

“Bye-bye, Bron.”

“The old man. LBJ.”

“Since he’s already on that load management BS, it may as well be LeBron.”

“KD or one of the centers.”

“Jokic or Embiid. You only need one of them.”

Most fans believe that since it’s 2023, either LeBron James or Kevin Durant should come off the bench.

But many also claimed that there’s only one center needed on the roster. Considering that, a tough choice between Nikola Jokic and Joel Embiid must be made.

Regardless of the player who comes off the bench, this hypothetical lineup is too good. That being said, if a roster like this ever gets assembled, it would be close to impossible defeating it.

Has LeBron James Finally Been Dethroned As The King Of The NBA?

LeBron James has had one of the most remarkable careers in the history of the NBA. He held the title of the best player in the world for several years, but LeBron is human, after all.

Taking that into consideration, it is no surprise that James has somewhat regressed in the last few years. James is missing a lot of time due to injuries, which is rare for fans to see.

He most recently missed 13 straight games due to a foot injury. Anyway, due to these injuries, the likes of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nikola Jokic, and Joel Embiid have arguably taken the title of the best player in the league from LeBron.

But James still has a chance to prove his doubters wrong. If he can lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a championship this season, he will certainly become the king of the NBA again.
