Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George is an elite two-way player, capable of scoring on all three levels and playing good perimeter defense. He has been a key factor for the Clippers this season, and they will need him to get deep in the playoffs.

Paul George went down with a knee injury during the Los Angeles Clippers game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. He recently spoke out on Twitter in his first words since, saying he appreciates everyone for the support.

🙏🏾 Appreciate y’all 🙏🏾

A recent report revealed that the injury that Paul George suffered was actually a knee sprain, so it is clear that he managed to avoid a more serious injury. He will still have to miss some time, though, and will be re-evaluated in two or three weeks.

Paul George has put up 23.8 PPG, 6.1 RPG, and 5.1 APG for the Los Angeles Clippers this season. He’s having one of his more productive seasons offensively relative to the rest of his career, and it’ll be interesting to see how he looks in the playoffs, especially after this knee injury.

Paul George Thinks The Clippers Will Be A Tough Matchup For Anyone In A Series

There’s no question that when the Los Angeles Clippers are fully healthy, they have the talent to compete with any team in the league. In fact, Paul George previously claimed that they will be “a tough team to beat in seven games”.

“You see the big picture of what we can be and what we will be,” George said, per Los Angeles Times’ Andrew Greif. “I still believe we’re gonna be a tough team to beat in seven games. And these tough losses can be lessons learned, just how to close out, we haven’t done it yet; I’m sure we’ll get to it. And when we do, we’ll be comfortable and confident in these moments.”

It is easy to see why Paul George is confident in his squad, despite the inconsistencies. They have an elite playoff performer in Kawhi Leonard and some solid veteran players surrounding them. That obviously includes Paul George and Russell Westbrook, who are widely considered to be the 2nd and 3rd best players on the team.

Hopefully, we see the Clippers get deep in the playoffs this season. They definitely can if they are fully healthy, and that obviously involves Paul George being at full strength in the playoffs.
