Patrick Beverley is most popularly known for his skills as one of the best defensive guards in the NBA. But apart from being an NBA player, Beverley has also branched out his interest in making podcasts.
Pat Bev has his own podcast and talks about a plethora of things on it. In one of the most recent episodes of his podcast, the Chicago Bulls guard talked about the need to ‘check in’ with people who own the city.
“I had a phenomenal experience when I was in Houston. With the family, especially my guy JR. That’s my man. It’s always love, me and him. So like, whatever happens, between, you know,” Beverley said. “These NBA guys, rappers, football guys, these entertainment people, you know? They be walking in other people’s city.”
Beverley then continued and explained what he meant by certain celebrities walking in other people’s cities.
“First off, I don’t give a rat’s a** who you is,” Beverley continued. “I don’t care who you is or what type of clout you got. You just can’t just walk in people’s city and be popping your s**t. That’s just like some m******f*****r walked in Chicago. It’s different ways to move. I don’t never had none of these issues. But I never have no checking in issues because I don’t really have issues, it’s always love.”

Usually, Patrick Beverley gives good opinions on what’s happening around the NBA via his podcast. He recently did so during the entire Ja Morant controversy.
But this time around, Beverley made very little sense. From what we can guess is that he is talking about the need to take permission from the most influential person in the city before entering there. That’s something that sort of feels like a cultural thing rather than something universal.
Hopefully, Pat Bev can further clarify his statement and help the fans understand what he meant by the statement on his podcast.
Patrick Beverley Is Having A Great Time With The Chicago Bulls
Following Patrick Beverley’s departure from the Los Angeles Lakers, many wondered which team he would join next. Well, Beverley revealed that he picked the Bulls over the Warriors, and there was one huge reason behind it.
“It was between Golden State and the Bulls. Obviously, it’s always good to play with a lot of great talent in Golden State but a lot of guards over there. I figured I can make a playoff push with the Bulls. Pump them up a little bit, the East’s kinda weak. I’m excited man.”
Apart from that, Chicago is Beverley’s home as well. We are sure that played a certain role in his decision to sign with the Bulls.
So far, Beverley is averaging 5.4 PPG, 6.7 RPG, and 4.0 APG for the Bulls. Evidently, he is also trying to help the team make a late push in the 2022-23 NBA season to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
