Superstar Kawhi Leonard is one of the best players in the league when on the court, and there’s no doubt that he is the key to the Los Angeles Clippers getting far in the playoffs this season.

Even though the team struggled for a period since they added point guard Russell Westbrook, they seem to be on the right track as of late, as they have won three games in a row. They have gone up in the standings, but their position seemingly doesn’t matter to Kawhi Leonard. The superstar recently revealed he doesn’t check the NBA standings, as doing so will not “save” the team.

Kawhi Leonard was asked if he ever checks the standings.

Kawhi: “Not really. They’re not gon save you.”

It is clear that Kawhi Leonard is a player that is all business, and he goes into every game with the desire to win, no matter the standings. That is the mindset that has helped him win championships, and perhaps he can do that with the Clippers this season.

As of now, Kawhi Leonard is averaging 23.6 PPG, 6.3 RPG, and 3.9 APG for the Los Angeles Clippers. It seems as though he has found his groove, and is back to playing like a premier superstar. The Clippers can compete with anyone as long as he’s on the roster, and we’ll see what happens in the future.

Kawhi Leonard And The Clippers Could Be Dangerous In The Playoffs

There is no doubt that the Los Angeles Clippers are a team that could be elite in the playoffs. In fact, Russell Westbrook previously stated that they are going to be a “hard team to stop”.

“I already know. My job is to keep instilling confidence in Paul and Kawhi to do this every single night,” Westbrook said. “The rest of us do our part, we’re gonna be a hard team to stop.”

The Los Angeles Clippers have two elite stars Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, and plenty of depth around them. They are clearly a championship-level team, and this is clearly a title-or-bust season for the franchise.

Hopefully, we see the Los Angeles Clippers get far in the playoffs this year. Though there are a lot of good teams in the Western Conference, the Clippers have the veteran experience and the 3PT shooting to rise above the majority of them. Kawhi Leonard will need to step up and lead them when it comes to the postseason, and hopefully, the star is up for the challenge.
