Colin Cowherd has tried to shed light on the Golden State Warriors’ terrible record on the road, which has prevented them from being in a better position on the Western Conference standings.

The controversial analyst blamed Draymond Green and Jordan Poole for this, claiming that they ruined the team’s chemistry.

“Here’s my takeaway: you go on the road with your family, you’ll see if you truly get along, ’cause you can’t hide the fissures. At home, if you get into an argument, everyone goes their separate ways.

“On the road, you’ll get on the team bus, you’ll go to the team hotel. And there’s been speculation that the Draymond Green-Jordan Poole dust-up, the big punch before the season, may have created a fissure on the team.”

This makes a lot of sense since rumors suggested that the Green punch really changed the dynamics within the roster, and the group was divided. Green has admitted that his relationship with Poole isn’t the best right now, and it could be the same with the rest of the team.

Golden State Warriors Have Been A Terrible Team On The Road

The Warriors boast a 7-25 record on the road this season, which is horrendous compared to the 27-7 they have at home. The Dubs are 34-32 this season, enough to rank 5th in the Western Conference. The competition is stiff this season, and teams like the Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Dallas Mavericks, and even the Los Angeles Lakers are aiming at the position the Dubs own right now.

Poole is averaging 20.7 points, 4.6 assists, and 2.8 rebounds this season, shooting 42.7% from the field and 86.7% from the free-throw line. Green has kept his quiet numbers, posting 8.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists this campaign, but we all know that his impact on the team goes beyond the numbers he puts on the stat sheet.

The Warriors still have a lot of work to do if they want to defend their 2022 NBA championship. The good thing for them is that they survived even without Stephen Curry, who just returned from injury this past Sunday. The team has a long way to go, but perhaps they have too little time to go that far.

Still, you should never underestimate the heart of a champion, and these Warriors know a lot about it.
