This year, we have seen multiple blockbuster trades happen mid-season. Notably, Kevin Durant got moved to the Phoenix Suns, while his former co-star Kyrie Irving ended up getting traded to the Dallas Mavericks.

Though the majority of people didn’t expect those trades to happen ahead of the trade deadline, it seems as though some people were ahead of the curve. Recently, it was revealed that an NBA fan actually predicted both moves in 2022, long before they happened.

It is insane to think about the fact that this fan’s prediction became correct. What is particularly notable is that he managed to nail some of the exact trade packages offered. A lot of people thought that Deandre Ayton would be traded for Kevin Durant for example, though obviously, that didn’t end up happening.

Sometimes, fans get lucky with their predictions, and that is clearly on display here. However, this prediction wasn’t necessarily all luck either, as the fan clearly had enough knowledge to predict some accurate packages in his Tweet in terms of value.

Kevin Durant And Kyrie Irving Could Reunite In The Future

Though Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving were pulled apart during the trade deadline, it is possible that they will end up re-uniting in the future. A previous report from Brian Windhorst suggested that Kyrie Irving was interested in heading to the Phoenix Suns ahead of the trade deadline, and could join them during the summer.

“If you think this is over, it ain’t over,” said Brian Windhorst. “Kyrie really was interested in being in Phoenix, so just start thinking about that.”

Other reports also mentioned that the Phoenix Suns tried to get both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving ahead of the trade deadline, and it is clear that there is mutual interest between the two parties. Thus, it will be interesting to see what Kyrie Irving ends up doing in free agency this year. He has also notably been linked with the Los Angeles Lakers in the past as well, and it is clear that there will be a lot of suitors for Kyrie Irving.

Though there are some obvious availability concerns about Kyrie Irving, it is clear that he is an elite point guard when he is on the court. He will be one of the premier free agents during this upcoming offseason, and he can be a needle-mover for any team that is seeking to win the championship.
