Russell Westbrook spent one and a half seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, but it was obvious that he had his differences with the franchise. Westbrook was finally free from the constant criticism of the Lakers fanbase right around the NBA Trade Deadline when he was traded to the Utah Jazz.

But considering the fact Russell Westbrook still wanted to be on a championship contender, he finalized a buyout with the Utah Jazz. Following the buyout with the Utah Jazz, Russ ended up signing with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Westbrook’s addition to the Clippers’ roster will fix their issue of having a genuine playmaker on the team. Speaking of his move to the Clippers, his former teammate Patrick Beverley recently revealed his message to the 2016-17 NBA MVP.

(Starts at 17:43)

“I texted him soon as I hear about it, and he text me right back. I said, ‘Man you’re gonna love it there. You’re gonna it there man, you’re gonna love it there.”

Beverley and Westbrook were once fierce competitors, but he has now forged a good friendship with Brodie. So much so that the two players are staying in touch even after getting traded to two separate teams in the NBA.

Patrick Beverley Wants To Take Revenge Against The Los Angeles Lakers

Patrick Beverley recently signed a deal with the Chicago Bulls. Beverley even explained why he chose to sign with the Bulls, despite attracting attention from the Golden State Warriors. According to Pat Bev, the East is kind of weak, and he wants to help the Bulls make the final push to advance to the playoffs.

But that’s just a small goal for Beverley. His primary goal is to take revenge against the Los Angeles Lakers. Beverley was included in the 3-team trade deal that helped the Lakers acquire crucial pieces around the NBA Trade Deadline.

However, Beverley is a very proud person, and upon getting traded to the Orlando Magic, he certainly held a grudge against the Lakers and wants to eliminate them in the postseason.
