The 2022-23 NBA season is presenting us with incredible performances by our favorite players. From established veterans like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic to legends like LeBron James and Kevin Durant, we’ve seen incredible games from these players, who have drawn a lot of attention from fans.

A big proof of this is the 2023 MVP race, which has Nikola Jokic at the top, but other players like Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid are waiting for their chance to snatch that position away from the Joker.

Each one of these players has earned praise from fans and their peers, and Zion Williamson recently talked about the best one out of them. The New Orleans Pelicans forward, who will miss tonight’s All-Star Game, recently revealed who he thinks is the best player in the league.

Zion Williamson Selects The Current Best Player In The NBA

Zion had a funny response when talking with reporters, saying that it was risky to name this person and then go play against them, but he still dropped their name, anyway. In the end, the dunk specialist named Nikola Jokic.

“You want me to tell you who the best player in the NBA is and then I have to go play against that person? I think the best player in basketball in my eyes right now… I gotta go with Jokic. He’s averaging a triple-double right now? No. 1 in the West, he’s playing great basketball.”

As a matter of fact, Zion is completely right. Jokic is actually averaging a triple-double at this moment, posting 24.7 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 10.1 assists, shooting 63.3% from the field and 82.8% from the free-throw line.

The Joker has gotten better season after season, and this one, he’s taken his game to the next level. Jokic is really great at what he does, and most people around the league know that he’s very special. While Jokic showers Luka Doncic with praise, he also receives his flowers from one of the most entertaining young players in the association.
