“He’s a one-man army,” Jokic explained. “He’s the guy who can destroy you. Who can really man manipulate the game the right way. There is no good matchup for him. If he has a smaller guy, he’s gonna post him up. If he has a bigger guy, he’s gonna go by him. He has a deadly step-back.”
Jokic also showed his admiration for Doncic’s IQ, calling him a unique player for his vision and all the things he can see that other players can’t. The Denver Nuggets figure also talked about Luka’s talents off the court, calling him a very nice person and praising him for being so cool when he’s not playing.
“He has a really, really, really, big basketball IQ. He has a really good view, seeing the floor really on a different level. Basketball-wise, he’s a really, really unique player. And the personal, he’s a really good guy. Like a guy you can hang out with.”
This two could eventually end up playing on the same team, but now it’s too easy to say. Luka has created a terrific duo with Kyrie Irving on the Dallas Mavericks, while Jokic has a great partner in Jamal Murray in Denver.
