Damian Lillard is one of the best point guards in the game today, and he is well-known for his ability to score from the 3PT range. As of right now, Damian Lillard is having one of the best seasons of his career with the Portland Trail Blazers and is currently averaging 31.4 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 7.3 APG while shooting 37.2% from beyond the arc.

Recently, we saw Damian Lillard’s 3PT shooting skills on display as the star won the NBA 3PT contest. A lot of fans reacted to the news, with many of them lauding Lillard for his shooting display.

I could’ve told y’all this was gonna happen. Did you see the competition?

Even in the 3pt contest he brought his clutch watch with him

NBA needs a Steph, klay and dame 3 point contest

Lillard came up too clutch on that last rack to win the 3 point contest Dame too cold

It’s about Dame Time

DAME TIME BABYYYYYYY

Congratulations Dame

It was pretty obvious he was gonna win, Dame Time always and forever

It was a a decent field this year. Dame tore it up…

Even clutched the 3 point contest

He’s him

On the final shot too

Best shooter of all time

There is no doubt that this was a fantastic performance from Damian Lillard, and it is good to see the star win the 3PT contest. The star has frequently shown that he is a top-tier marksman, and this year, he was competing against other elite shooters such as Buddy Hield and Tyrese Haliburton. Overall, this was a well-deserved win, which displayed both Damian Lillard’s 3PT shooting and his clutch ability.

Damian Lillard Thinks He’s The Second-Best Shooter In NBA History Behind Stephen Curry

Previously, Damian Lillard claimed that the is the second-best shooter in NBA history. He noted that he believes Stephen Curry is the greatest but added that he should be “clear-cut” second due to his ability to make the “tough” 3PT shots frequently.

“Obviously I think Steph is the greatest ever, but I think after him, I don’t see why I’m not clear-cut in that discussion, not just by makes, but how I shoot it, how I make tough ones all the time, how easy I shoot the ball. I’m looking forward to keep climbing that list so once I get up there in that top two, top three, I’m curious to see what people will say about me as a shooter at that point.”

There is no doubt that a lot of people would generally pick Ray Allen or Reggie Miller as the second-best shooter of all time. However, Damian Lillard certainly has a case as well, and he is definitely the second-best shooter in the modern era.

Hopefully, we see Damian Lillard find more success in the playoffs in the future, as that will likely help him move up the 3PT shooter standings as well. He is still one of the best perimeter players in the game right now however, and it is clear that he is a shooter that deserves respect and admiration.
