LeBron James is on the verge of making history in the NBA once again, but the King has had to go through a lot to be where he is right now. It’s not like he’s been involved in scandals, but LeBron faced big challenges on the court, sometimes winning, sometimes losing.

During his honored career, the King suffered plenty of losses, especially in the NBA Finals, which really hurt him to this day. Even though he led the biggest comeback in the Finals in 2016 when he commanded the Cleveland Cavaliers to their first NBA championship ever, the King starred in a painful moment two years later.

This season, he’s been dealing with a lot of frustrations, especially with referees, who have affected the Los Angeles Lakers more than once, costing them big victories over big rivals, and recently, LeBron had enough of that.

LeBron James Never Rewatched Game 1 Of 2018 NBA Finals

A couple of weeks ago, the King drove to the basket, where Jayson Tatum waited for him. The Boston Celtics’ young star committed a clear foul on Bron, but the refs didn’t call it, which made LeBron lose it, as he looked incredibly mad following that controversial play.

Joe Vardon of The Athletic reports that the play was the reason why LeBron James opted to sit out against the Brooklyn Nets in the Lakers’ next game, as he tried to go back to his best version after the terrible call from referees.

He sat the following game in New York against the Brooklyn Nets, a place he loves to put on a show. He did so to decompress and collect himself.

“That’s why he is sitting tonight,” said one of James’ friends, who was given anonymity so that he could feel comfortable summarizing their private conversations.

Moreover, one of James’ friends would admit that this was the second time LeBron felt he was cheated in the NBA, following that infamous play by JR Smith in 2018 in Game 1 of the NBA Finals.

“There were only two times he felt cheated after a game, Saturday (against Boston) and Game 1,” another of his close friends said.

In case you don’t know what happened, during that game, the Cleveland Cavaliers had the chance to take the win in the last seconds of regulation after JR Smith grabbed a rebound from a missed free throw. Instead of going for the basket, he took a different direction, killing the Cavs’ chances to win the game.

LeBron reveals he never rewatched Game 1 of the 2018 Finals:

That game was very painful for Cleveland, who would end up losing the match and the series after a demolishing 4-0 outcome.
