The 2023 NBA All-Stars starters list was announced Thursday, and now the wait for the reserves begins. And fans had their two cents to share and debate about the players they wanted to see in the reserves category.
The East will be led by Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo. The other four starters are Donovan Mitchell (Cleveland Cavaliers), Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn Nets), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), and Kevin Durant (Brooklyn Nets).
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James will be joined by Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors), Luka Doncic (Dallas Mavericks), Nikola Jokic (Denver Nuggets), and Zion Williamson (New Orleans Pelicans).
Some noteworthy names missing out caused massive outrage on social media. Joel Embiid not making the cut as the starter was one of the talking points. He missed out on the East frontcourt, while Jaylen Brown narrowly lost out on the backcourt. The same at the other end where Ja Morant and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander missed making the starters despite their brilliant season.

Per Clutch Points’, Morant, De’Aaron Fox, Domantas Sabonis, and Damian Lillard were some of the names predicted to make the reserves, while Bam Adebayo, Julius Randle, Joel Embiid, Pascal Siakam, Tyrese Haliburton, Jaylen Brown, James Harden were some of the names pegged to make it in the East.
We made solid predictions two months ago when we predicted seven players out of ten.
Only time will tell who makes the reserves list. The All-Star Game is set to take place on February 19 in Salt Lake City.
