The Los Angeles Lakers are not going to be happy after a tense loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, the 10th consecutive loss at the hands of their rivals. LeBron James put on a show with his efficient 46-point performance but it was not enough to help the Lakers erase a 20+ points halftime deficit.

The Lakers had only 9 players in their rotation for most of the Clippers’ loss, a sign of how depleted by injuries they’ve been. Darvin Ham gave some great news after the Clippers’ loss by confirming Rui Hachimura will make his Lakers’ debut against the Spurs on Wednesday.

Darvin Ham said Rui Hachimura will make his debut tomorrow vs. San Antonio.

Anthony Davis is also expected to return from a 22-game absence as well, barring any real setback.

This news will officially mean the Lakers won’t be able to lament the absence of their co-star and their newest addition. The Lakers stayed 11-11 without AD and will now hope to make a significant run to catch up to the playoff race in the West.

Will LeBron James Be Playing Against The Spurs?

The main attraction of the return of AD and the debut of Rui is seeing them share the floor with LeBron James. Though he only played 32 minutes tonight, there is concern over his availability tomorrow. The Warriors’ have been benching younger players than LeBron regularly on back-to-backs, and the Lakers may elect to do the same against one of the worst teams in the league.

It might be better for the long-term outlook as LeBron doesn’t need any excessive wear on his body. Davis will have to get adjusted to playing in a game again and Hachimura is learning the Lakers’ style on the fly, so LeBron may be a necessity to unlock the tools both those players provide on the court.
