Ja Morant has become quite the polarizing figure in the NBA thanks to his cockiness. Morant never shies away from speaking what’s on his mind which often leads to some backlash, as he and the Memphis Grizzlies haven’t achieved anything in the grand scheme of things.

There’s no denying though that Morant is an exceptional talent and he has plenty of admirers around the league. One of them is Kevin Durant and when Morant put Jalen Smith on a poster with an insane dunk against the Indiana Pacers, Durant reacted on Twitter.

Durant always gives props when it’s deserved and that really was incredible right there. That dunk was the highlight of another fine showing from Ja, as he finished with 23 points and 10 assists to lead the Grizzlies to a 130-112 win. It was their 9th win in a row and they are now tied for the top spot in the Western Conference.

Michael Beasley Thinks Ja Morant Will Win MVP In The Future

Morant may not be in the conversation for MVP at the moment despite his good play, but there is no doubt he’s going to be a strong contender for the years to come. Michael Beasley, who was selected 2nd overall by the Miami Heat back in 2008, thinks Morant will win back-to-back MVPs and stated that Ja is going to be the best player in the league.

Durant had also called Morant the future face of the NBA and the sky is the limit for him. He has all the tools you need to become the headline act and all that’s left to be done now, is to go on and win it all. They might do it this season itself with how well they’re playing as a unit and if they do end up with that top seed, you’d have to fancy their chances at making a deep run, as no one in the West has really stood out this season.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
