Charles Barkley and Dennis Rodman starred in many duels on the court during their NBA careers. Playing the same position, they had to go against one another plenty of times, leaving fans with a lot of memories over the years.

After all these years, the respect they have for each other is very visible, with Chuck praising Rodman more than once. He once couldn’t believe that Kenny Smith compared Patrick Beverley to Rodman, but also stated that the Chicago Bulls were better with Horace Grant instead of Rodman.

They used to go at it during their active days and Rodman knew how to get under Barkley’s skin under the 1993 NBA MVP made a big decision and planned something to stop the worm.

Charles Barkley Had A Big Solution For When Dennis Rodman Started Annoying Him During Games

During an interview, the former player-turned-analyst spoke about his situation with Rodman and how he used to neutralize the rebounding specialist. Barkley stated that he would throw punches at the beginning of games to send a message to Rodman for the rest of the game.

“I’d just punch him as hard as I could at the beginning of the game and he would leave you alone,” Barkley said, via Sportskeeda. “Michael used to ask us, ‘Why do you keep doing that?’ Because he stops irritating you and bugging you once you clock him.”

It’s easy to see that Barkley was constantly annoyed by Rodman, and he even compared the Bulls legend to Draymond Green in that regard, saying he would have preferred to play with them instead of facing them.

These two legends are really funny and whenever they speak, people laugh. We haven’t seen them together since the 2022 All-Star Game in Cleveland when the NBA reunited a bunch of legends to celebrate them. They are retired now, but remain relevant around the league and people will always remember the great things they did on the court.
