The 2022-23 NBA season continues to be a rollercoaster ride for the Golden State Warriors. They have experienced some great highs and some bizarre lows as they look to defend their title.

They looked to have finally gotten on track when they went on a 5-game winning run from late December to early January, but it has proven to not be the case. After beating the likes of the Memphis Grizzlies and the Portland Trail Blazers in that run, the Warriors have proceeded to lose to the lowly Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic. With the Warriors getting blown out by the Magic in their latest loss, Draymond Green decided to leave the game with 40 seconds remaining.

NBA fans roasted Green for his early exit.

“Podcast time getting an early start ‍ “

“Some leader he is”

“he thinks he’s bron “

“He’s going to watch LeBron “

“After a triple single performance”

“had 5 points and acts like this”

“What an absolute loser”

“No sportsmanship”

“Draymond is such a front runner. He can’t do anything without Steph/Klay”

“that’s embarrassing”

“WAY TO BE A TEAM PLAYER!!!”

“he’s so lame”

“warriors worst player leaving game early lmao. bum”

“That boy salty as hell “

“Dude started working in media and thinks he more important than his team.”

“That’s garbage. Really proving to be kind of an asshole teammate the past few months.”

“He is mad because his back up had more points tonight than he has in the last 4 games. Lol”

“Terrible so called Leader”

“He be checked out when Steph not playing ‍♂️”

“Draymond really walks around thinking he a top 100 player to ever play”

Both Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson weren’t playing here, so for Green to leave early is a bad look, as he is one of the leaders on the team. He might have been trying to send a message to the team that they need to play better, but there are other ways to do that. Green certainly hasn’t been the greatest teammate over the last couple of months, and it all, of course, started with him punching Jordan Poole.

Joe Lacob Admitted That He Was Worried After Draymond Green Punched Jordan Poole

Green punching Poole was easily among the most shocking moments in the NBA world last year. The two were exchanging words with each other during practice, and the situation escalated to the point where Draymond hit his teammate right in the face.

Warriors owner Joe Lacob admitted recently that he was worried after Green’s punch. An incident like that can cause serious issues on a team, but it speaks to the culture within the organization that they have been able to move past it. Still, they’ll only tolerate Draymond’s antics for so long, and with Lacob refusing to guarantee that the Warriors Big 3 will retire with the team, his days with the team might be numbered.
