Kevin Durant has been the subject of big criticism since he left the Oklahoma City Thunder and joined the Golden State Warriors in the infamous summer of 2016. That move earned him a lot of hate for KD, who was one of the most beloved players in the association before that.

It’s been over 6 years since that moment, and KD is still getting a lot of hate for it. The 2x NBA champion won his two titles in the Bay, creating a terrific association with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. They dominated the league for three years, sending a message to everybody.

Recently, Evan Turner called it a ‘lame’ movie while talking with Andre Iguodala, another member of those mighty Warriors. ET didn’t think that was right, even though the Warriors went on to win several championships.

During a recent edition of their Point Forward podcast, Turner expressed his opinion to Iguodala about that move.

“Y’all won a lot of championships, but it was lame as f—,” he said. ” … I’m talking about when you lame a– n—– did that for two or three straight years. That was lame as f—. Word to mother, I would never go recruit no K.D. I don’t give a damn who was there.”

KD heard those comments and was ready to fire back, sending a short and ironic message to Turner.

Awwww, it wasn’t fair???

“Awwww, it wasn’t fair???” Durant tweeted.

That infamous move will follow Durant for the rest of his career, but he’s ready to clap back at those who dare to diminish his accomplishments. He went there, did his thing, and won two NBA championships alongside two Finals MVPs.

Some say he needs to win on his own now, and recent developments suggest that Durant can compete for a championship with the renewed Brooklyn Nets. As for the Warriors, they’re still struggling this season, contrary to KD and his team. Perhaps it wasn’t a fair move, but nobody can take away those titles from Durant or the Warriors.
