After making a run to the NBA Finals last season, the Boston Celtics came into this season as a team on a mission. And now, two months into the current season, the Cs are at the top of the East with a 25-10 record overall.

In truth, it has been a coming-out party for the Celtics and the entire NBA world has taken notice.

Ahead of his matchup against the star duo on Thursday, Clippers star Paul George spoke about their run together and described the Tatum-Brown combo as one of the best in the game.

“With a team like them they’re obviously gifted offensively with Jayson and Jaylen They got great pieces around them so they’re gifted offensively. And with the growth and maturation of both of those two guys, I think they’re doing a great job of sharing that load, being playmakers, and scorers, and really just elevating each other. You see that with them and it’s great to see. I love both of their games. I hope those two guys stick together for the rest of their careers. They’re special together. It’s definitely a dynamic duo. They just compliment each other so well.”

As the Celtics continue to impress, Paul George and his co-star Kawhi Leonard are trying their best to keep the Clippers near the top of the standings. And while they’ve looked good this season, are they at the level of the Celtics or Bucks?

How Far Can The Clippers Go This Season?

For the first time in a while, the Clippers are starting to look dangerous. While Kawhi Leonard still participates in the load management trend, he’s been playing regularly for the Clippers and they starting to find their groove again.

Former NBA star Pierce felt that the best version of Leonard was key in helping the side win and even go the distance.

“If Kawhi is going to be at his best come playoff time, the Clippers could be the best team in the West,” said formner Celtics star Paul Pierce.

On paper, it’s no secret that the Clips have one of the deepest teams in basketball. Unfortunately, they have nothing to show for it just yet.

If they want to truly make history, and prove the doubters wrong once and for all, PG and Kawhi will have to win a championship together before it’s all said and done.

The job is not yet finished, and they still have a long way to go.
