Jayson Tatum Honestly Responds To Comparisons Of Him And Jaylen Brown With Michael Jordan And Scottie Pippen

Jayson Tatum mocked the media for comparing him and Jaylen Brown to Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen after saying they should split up as a duo.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown are easily the best duo in the NBA, and it hasn’t even been close this season. While Tatum is playing at an MVP level, Jaylen Brown isn’t far off and has been dominating this season. People are already saying this might be the best wing duo since the almighty Chicago Bulls duo of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen.

This is a big change of energy from a lot of people saying the pair needed to split up from last season up until this offseason. Tatum hasn’t forgotten the trade talks they were forced to go through when he and Brown were compared to MJ and Scottie, reiterating they didn’t say this when they wanted them to be split up before saying they still aren’t as good as that historic duo just yet.

Tatum asked about how the Jays are putting up numbers comparable to MJ and Pippen: “Last year y’all wanted to trade one of us, now you’re saying Mike and Scottie. We’re not as bad as you said but we’re not as good as Mike and Scottie.”

Brown and Tatum combined for 77 points in the Celtics’ win over the Houston Rockets last night, with Brown scoring 39 and Tatum scoring 38. This proficient duo has led the Celtics to the top of the league. But can they stay there?

Are The Boston Celtics Ready For Another Title Push?

In December last year, nobody would have said that the Celtics would be 2022 NBA Finalists, given their slow start to the season. This year’s been the opposite, with many saying the Celtics are bound to get to the Finals with their incredible form this season. They added Malcolm Brogdon to help them in half-court creation off the bench, a welcome change to the wing-heavy squad.

They don’t need any roster pieces to change, given how well everyone has performed so far this season. If they can get another bench veteran, it might boost their chances, but they’ve just looked way too good this season. The title can be theirs, especially with a power vacuum emerging at the top of a very crowded Western Conference this season.
