Lakers Fans Debate Who Would Be A Better Fit For The Lakers: Zach LaVine Or DeMar DeRozan

Lakers fans had a lot to say about DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine and their fit on the team.

The Chicago Bulls are a team that could potentially blow things up by the trade deadline this season. They are a team that is in an unenviable position where they have a number of talented players on the roster but aren’t a good team.

There have been recent rumors about some issues in the locker room for the Chicago Bulls as well, and there were some reports about Bulls players being frustrated with Zach LaVine as well. With all this instability on the roster and chemistry issues, perhaps the Chicago Bulls could trade stars Zach LaVine and Demar DeRozan to rebuild anew. That course of action would definitely make sense since the team clearly isn’t close to being in the playoffs or being a championship-level squad.

Both Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan were linked to the Los Angeles Lakers, and recently, Lakers fans on Reddit debated which of those two players the team should acquire. The answers from fans varied, with some fans even suggesting that the team shouldn’t trade for either player and bring back Alex Caruso instead.

Get Caruso back lol

Lavine preferred

Because of his age and play style, I’d be inclined to say LaVine but his knee issues are scary and his contract is off putting. Does his current play suggest he’s worth the $50 million he’ll cost when he turns 31? If I had to choose between the two, I’d lean more towards Derozan because he’s cheaper and seems durable as shit. There are fit questions.

Lavine looks like a shell of himself this season and this is only year 1 of a two hundred million dollar contract. He has bad knees and in two years basically be a jump shooter only

None, build a real team

I am tired of the cap going to stars and when the stars are tired/ hurt we have nothing but fringe nba players attempting to keep the team afloat. I would love to see competent consistent players.

Tryna get Caruso back > Demar and Lavine if were being honest.

I’d prefer neither. Lavine is hurt as much as AD and DeMar is a bad fit.

Lavine but buyers beware. He has knee issues and his defense is absolutely horrible. Hopefully his decision making on offense is fixed with better coaching. But I honestly can’t see us getting neither because at minimum 3 first a required for all stars. So we will see.

There’s only one player that the Lakers should even want and that’s AC. Zach and Demar don’t fit with LeBron and AD.

If you had a chance at one of them, which I doubt Lakers have a package that Bulls would take it has to be Lavine.

I feel like Derozan is a bad fit with this team and Lavine’s contract won’t age well, not to mention he’s injury prone. I’d rather we get guys who are going to be available if possible

The Los Angeles Lakers could definitely acquire either player if they move some of their future first-round picks. It remains to be seen if the Lakers do surrender those picks in a trade in the future, but DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine are the caliber of players it is worth doing that for.

The Los Angeles Lakers Have Also Been Linked To Bojan Bogdanovic

Aside from DeMar DeRozan and Zach LaVine, the Los Angeles Lakers also have some other trade targets. They have already submitted an offer for Detroit Pistons sharpshooter Bojan Bogdanovic.

The Lakers are prioritizing shooting in their conversations with teams, and have discussed packages including salaries and a protected first-round pick for Detroit’s Bojan Bogdanovic, league sources, who were granted anonymity so that they could speak freely, tell The Athletic.

Bojan Bogdanovic could definitely help the Los Angeles Lakers with his shooting ability, and he would likely be cheaper to acquire than Zach LaVine and DeMar DeRozan.

Hopefully, we will see the Los Angeles Lakers make a trade to try and maximize LeBron James and Anthony Davis. They could still be a playoff team, and we’ll see how they do in the future.
