Stephen Jackson has plenty of stories to tell about his time in the NBA and how crazy things were when he was a part of the league. He was a controversial player that knew how to have fun, although things could get a little out of control for him.

Jackson liked to party, like many NBA stars, buts sometimes he took things to the next level. He once talked about the time he smoked weed with Jessica Alba and Kate Hudson, showing how wild things used to be back then.

That’s not the only time Stak did something like this, and he tried to involve all of his teammates in his adventures. Whenever he had the chance, he would hit the club, and there was one time he took things too far, but it ended up working for him.

Stephen Jackson Shares Incredible Story Of When His Whole Team Won A Game After Partying All Night Long

During a recent edition of Showtime’s ‘All the Smoke,’ Stak shared a little story with Matt Barnes about the time he and his team flew from Orlando to Miami and decided to experience Miami’s nightlife. Things were too intense for them, and ended up going to practice at 8 am.

“Let me tell you a funny story of us in Miami. We played in Orlando and fly to Miami after the game. We get there at like 12:00. We had like 3 SUVs parked at the airport. We went straight out, our practice in the morning was at 9:30. We get back to the hotel at like 8-8:15 am. Everybody’s supposed to go to their rooms and get their practice stuff. Half of the people went straight to the bus with the clothes we had on from last night, everybody’s drunk,” Jackson recalled, via Basketball Network.

Their head coach at the time wasn’t having any of that and canceled practice. However, the team responded and got a huge win in the game later that day, making the coach happy and giving this huge anecdote to Jackson.

“We go to the court [during practice], and the coach was like, ‘Bring it in!’ We were supposed to be out there warming up and nobody dressed after that. Coach sniffed us. He smelled and knew [what was going on] and was like, ‘Get back on the bus! We not gonna practice but we better win tonight!’ We came out and won by 30. Some people can just do that,” Jackson added.

It’s good that they at least got the win, but otherwise, it would have been bad for them. Some players have issues with practice, while others embrace that with everything they have. Kobe Bryant had a different approach, as he could go out with teammates at night but would be ready to hit the gym early in the morning.

It seems like this time, everybody was on the same page, even the coach, who had no choice but to give the day off to their players.
