NBA Fans Roast Devin Booker For Stat-Padding After Suns Were Offended By A Zion Williamson Late-Game Dunk: “Broke The Code”

Booker missed a three-pointer in the closing minutes of the game, which would have seen him hit 60 points.

The Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans’ rivalry isn’t going to end anytime soon, and this time, it was Devin Booker who was at the receiving end.

The guard was instrumental in the Suns’ 118-114 win, erupting for 58 points. The win now sees the two teams share two contests apiece in their four-game regular season series. But the drama was far from over, especially after Zion Williamson’s late-game dunk against Phoenix earlier caused all the furor.

Booker missed a three-pointer in the closing minutes of the game, which would have seen him hit 60 points. And that was enough for New Orleans fans to roast him.

Zion Williamson (30 points) and CJ McCollum (27 points) played their part in getting the Pelicans closer, but it wasn’t enough to match Booker’s singular effort that saw the Suns edge past.

NBA Fans Take Shots At Devin Booker: “Broke The Code”

The Phoenix Suns players weren’t happy when Williamson landed a windmill dunk in the final minutes of their blowout win. Some of their stars were vocal in expressing their displeasure, although Williamson did offer an explanation behind the slam.

This time around, it was fans who took a shot at Booker for stat-padding in a game the Suns had already nailed. It comes after some of them had slammed the Suns’ players for dunking and squabbling in blowout contests.

ATTEMPTED CODE BREAKING!

Hopefully the end result of all this silly drama is that people realize “Unwritten rules” are the dumbest thing ever and stop throwing a fit over them.

Mikal Bridges 4/24 night more impressive honestly.

This whole thing is stupid because both this and the Zion dunk are just players going for dope sh**

This is more to do with the Zion dunk reaction though

I will never forgive him for asking to have a mascot kicked out for distracting him during free throws.

Ask cam Payne if that’s doing the right thing

Is it just Chris Paul?…it’s Chris Paul isn’t it.

There’s no issue with it, but Zion making a 360 Windmill statement dunk is way cooler than an open 3 point statement brick.

I love how they just gave Zion shit for not running out the clock and Booker tries to put an exclamation point on the win instead of dribbling the clock out. Hypocrite

Despite all the rivalry going on, both teams have played some good basketball this season and are primed to make the playoffs. The Pelicans are placed second, while the Suns are fourth in a stacked Western Conference. It will be one intense skirmish if these two teams manage to meet in the postseason.
