Being successful in the NBA is not an easy task by any means. There are hundreds of players that play in the league every season, but only a few manage to climb the ladder in terms of being the best players in the NBA. An even rare feat is being considered an all-time NBA great.

After all, over the years, thousands of players have played in the league. Speaking of which, the likes of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant are two of the best players in the league. While MJ was one of a kind player, Kobe studied Jordan’s game and became a star in the league. It’s evident from the fact that Bryant used to study the game of Jordan even when he was under the mentorship of Reggie Miller.

Kobe Bryant And Michael Jordan Are Two Favorite Players Of Phil Heath

As we mentioned earlier, Kobe and Mike are two of the greatest athletes to ever play any sport. Speaking of great athletes, American bodybuilder Phil Heath certainly deserves a shoutout for winning 7 Mr. Olympia titles.

Heath recently made an appearance on Shannon Sharpe’s ‘Club Shay Shay Podcast.’ The soon to be 43 years old must have talked about a lot of things with Sharpe. But one of the most interesting things that he shared his thoughts on was his favorite NBA athletes. Heath took the name of Kobe and Jordan when asked about it.

“Jordan, all-time [favorite player]. I was able to see him play the Sonics and my jaw dropped. He’s just incredible. Maybe young kids don’t know [how good he was]. What I loved about Jordan was he prevented epic guys from winning titles. He shut it down. That’s my 1A, my 1B is Kobe. Because just the like, fearless. He is fearless like, he’s like no, and you knew it. The Ultimate Competitor. Ultimate Competitor!”

Heath believes that due to the fact that several amazing players failed to win an NBA title during Jordan’s era, he is his all-time favorite player. But he also mentioned loving to watch Kobe Bryant dominate opponents due to his super competitive nature and the fire to be better than everybody in the league.
