Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James go back quite a bit, as they first played against each other all the way back in 2002 when they were in high school. They then went on to have illustrious careers in the NBA and will forever be linked with each other.

The 12th of December was a special day in the James and Anthony households, as 20 years after LeBron and Carmelo played each other, their sons Bronny James and Kiyan Anthony faced off for the first time. LeBron lost to Melo all those years back, but Bronny and Sierra Canyon ended up coming out on top 62-51 over Kiyan and Christ the King here. After the game, Carmelo shared an epic picture that had the basketball world buzzing.

LeBron and Melo share a special bond, and James reacted to this post by Anthony in a wholesome manner.

LeBron and Carmelo also shared a special moment at half-time as the long-time friends and rivals hugged it out.

Their sons played well, too, as Bronny finished the night with 12 points, six rebounds, and 3 assists, while Kiyan had eight points, two rebounds, and two assists. Bronny brought some fireworks to this game with a monster jam that reminded the viewers a lot of his father.

While Bronny flashed some of that athleticism, Kiyan showed that smooth shooting stroke of his father, and it would be amazing if these two can get to the NBA at some point. Bronny will most likely get to the league in 2024, but Kiyan, who is three years younger, will have to wait a while.

LeBron James Posted A Beautiful Video Thanking Bronny

LeBron is incredibly proud of all that his son Bronny has achieved so far, and his ultimate goal remains to play with him one day in the NBA. He posted a touching video where he thanked Bronny by stating that he is who he is today because of his son. It will be a magical moment if and when they get to team up in the league, and we honestly can’t wait to see it.

Unfortunately, Carmelo and Kiyan won’t be able to have that moment, with Melo all but out of the NBA at this point. He spoke about his uncertain future in the league during this game and stated that he wants to play but realizes it’s not in his control.

Marion’s versatility as a defender and his rebounding prowess, despite being just 6’7”, impressed Gautam immensely. He admired Marion’s finishing ability at the rim and his shooting, despite an unconventional jump shot, believing that Marion’s skill set would have been even more appreciated in today’s NBA.This transformative experience not only deepened his love for basketball but also shaped his approach to sports writing, enabling him to connect with readers through vivid storytelling and insightful analysis.
