New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has been fighting to stay on the court for his entire career, but now he’s fighting to stave off one of his former lovers gone crazy. According to the New York Post, the woman (named Ahkeema Love) has become his stalker, and she’s taken drastic measures to avoid sharing the NBA superstar.

“Sources confirm that a woman arrested and accused of stalking has been romantically linked to New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson,” WSDU reported. “Ahkeema Love is accused of stalking a woman who was also romantically linked to Williamson… Police say that on Monday, Love entered the victim’s house, grabbed her hair, and hit her with keys.”

Not only did she threaten and assault one of Zion’s romantic interests, but she also reportedly egged his house in a brutal act of revenge.

“Love is accused of hitting the woman and egging her house. She’s also accused of threatening the woman on social media. Sources tell WDSU that the events unfolded at Williamson’s house.”

Coming out of Duke, Zion Williamson was hailed as one of the greatest college prospects ever. He was drawing comparisons to LeBron James, but now he’s caught up in a scandal that is jeopardizing his reputation.

Ahkeema is the mother of Zion’s young daughter, but she’s not currently in a relationship with the Pelicans star. Instead, she’s waging war against the NBA star in his own home, seemingly in hopes of scaring off any rival romantic interests. She’s been charged with stalking in the past, but it’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Williamson, 24, is one of the NBA’s youngest stars, but he’s been mixed up in several love scandals already. The most famous of these involves Moriah Mills, who threatened to leak sex tapes involving her and Williamson.

Behind the scenes, Williamson has a complicated family life, and one has to wonder if it’s become a distraction for him on the court. Since being drafted in 2019, Zion has struggled to meet expectations, and there’s major uncertainty about what comes next after his four-year, $161 million contract expires.

The biggest problem for Williamson is his health. The Pelicans star has struggled to stay in shape and keep his body up to NBA standards. Over the past six seasons, Williamson has only played in 70 games once, and it was during the 2023-24 campaign, when he averaged 22.9 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game on 57.0% shooting.

Since his arrival, the Pelicans have been an afterthought in the West, and this season was arguably their worst in the Williamson era. Despite averages of 24.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 5.3 assists per game this season, the Pelicans are 14th in the West at 21-58.

With Zion’s reputation and value at an all-time low, he’s got a long road ahead to win back the favor of the fans, but it starts with getting things straight at home. As long as the drama continues behind the scenes, Zion will never have the focus he needs to turn around his NBA career.
