Shaquille O’Neal has shown time and time again that he’s a world-class troll. The NBA legend is always trying to make people laugh, even if that means roasting others, as he usually does on TNT’s Inside the NBA. But, besides his regular appearances on live TV, Shaq is also a joker in real life.

During a 2018 interview on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Shaq revealed many fun stories with British people, including the time he was detained after bumping into a royal guard in London.

Moreover, he recalled how he found David Beckham’s wallet on the street and tried to play a joke on the Manchester United and Real Madrid legend. It’s unclear if this situation happened when Beckham played for Los Angeles Galaxy in the MLS, but the truth is that Shaq found his wallet.

Shaquille O’Neal Once Found David Beckham’s Wallet In Beverly Hills

During this funny interview, the Big Diesel recalled what he used to do with the wallets he found, but once he read the name of this one, he was more interested than before.

“I was walking one day in Beverly Hills and I found a wallet. Usually, when I find wallets, I just take out all the money and just throw them,” he told James Corden. “But this was a nice wallet, so I look. And it said David Beckham, I was like, ‘Can’t be!’ And I looked at the ID and it was David Beckham.”

“So, I didn’t want to just give it to the front desk, so I tracked him down. I was like, David. Well, no, first I played a joke on him,” O’Neal continued. “I have your wallet. I have your wallet. It’s going to cost you a million dollars getting it back.’ But he knew it was me. “[Beckham said] ‘Shaq, stop playing.’ I was like, ‘Dave, I found your wallet,’ and he came and picked it up.”

In the end, Shaq took a small ‘fee’ for giving the wallet back, leaving David with doubts about the money he had in his possession.

“The funny thing is, he said, ‘hey, there was some money in this wallet, you know about that?’ But I was like, ‘nope.'”

Shaq is a comedian at heart, and whenever he tells these stories, people have a blast. We hope that David Beckham is taking better care of his wallet because he won’t find another Shaq in life.
