Shaquille O’Neal has amassed a fortune throughout his life. Superman is worth over $400 million, which is a staggering amount of wealth. He earned nearly $300 million from his NBA salary alone and has gone on to become a highly sought-after face for product endorsements. On top of that, Shaq has proven to be an erudite businessman, investing in hundreds of businesses and growing his huge health exponentially.

Shaq’s businesses range from fast-food restaurants to gyms. He is by his admission, a part of over 100 companies, while being invested in 200 more. He has numerous endorsement deals on top of this, meaning his income is good enough for him to enjoy the lavish lifestyle he lives without ever having to worry about actually deteriorating any of his wealth. And while a lot of his businesses are things people have heard of, one of them happens to be unique.

Shaquille O’Neal Owns The Rights To Elvis Presley, Muhammad Ali, And Marilyn Monroe

There are a lot of legends in history that have come, captured everyone’s imagination, and then departed this world as all humans must. Names like Muhammad Ali, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis Presley are still revered throughout the United States and the world, and the work they left behind is still enjoyed by a lot of folks. And in this case, the person making money from their work being used is none other than Shaquille O’Neal.

(from 00:00 to 1:38 minutes):

“I don’t like to seem like I’m bragging but Imma ask you a question. Who owns Marilyn Monroe? Who owns Elvis Presley? Who owns Forever 21? Who owns JC Penney? Me. So my real businesses, I own 50 brands. When I was retiring, I’m looking around like, how does Michael Jackson and all these guys live forever.

“So one of the chapters in the book, joint-ventureship. I called one of the three companies that help people live forever and they bought my brand for a lot of money. So I took that money and put it back in the company, now I’m the number 2 guy in the company… Now I own all those other brands. So if Shaq goes away, sh*t we still got Elvis.”

This is a business that most people wouldn’t even know exists, and for Shaq to be so heavily invested in it is very interesting. The shelf life of these brands is almost immortal, so it’s safe to say that O’Neal’s investment will continue to grow. In any case, this is another fascinating aspect of Shaquille O’Neal’s unbelievable life.
