Ben Simmons is one of the best point guards in the league when he is healthy. He is an elite defender and playmaker. Simmons also excels at scoring in transition and when slashing to the rim. During the 2020-21 season, Simmons was in the race for DPOY and averaged 14.3 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 6.9 APG.

Though he is a very good player, Ben Simmons has one huge weakness, and that is jump shooting. There have been many criticisms of his unwillingness to shoot in the past, though some have suggested that Simmons can focus on the things he does well to be an elite player and ignore the development of his shooting.

Recently, an NBA fan walked up to Ben Simmons in a candy store and called him “Russell Westbrook”. Obviously, Russell Westbrook is a player that is also regarded as a poor shooter, which is why the fan called Ben Simmons by his name. Ben Simmons was not too happy with this, telling the fan not to mess with him.

There is no doubt that this video might be funny to watch from the outside, but, unfortunately, Ben Simmons had to deal with a fan getting in his personal space and trying to mock him. Hopefully, he is able to have a productive season next year and shut some of the haters up.

The Brooklyn Nets could face some major changes if they trade Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, but the roster as currently constructed should be able to at least get to the playoffs. There is no doubt that Ben Simmons’ talents will be beneficial for the team if their stars stay, as he is a perfect complementary player to Durant and Irving. Hopefully, we get the chance to see the trio in action at least once next season.
