The Kevin Durant saga is still hot around the league. Even though not many teams have shown a huge interest in the player, the Brooklyn Nets still expect several offers for their superstar. During the past few weeks, we’ve learned about some crazy trade ideas that would place Durant on a different team, but this is only the imagination of fans and analysts.
Every now and then, a crazy trade idea is brought up, and recently, Robert Horry commented on the KD situation, even plotting a trade with his former team, the Los Angeles Lakers.
Talking on his The Big Shot Bob podcast, the seven-time NBA champion first mentioned the only two untradeable players in the NBA, not including LeBron James on that mini list.

“I think there’s only probably one dude in the league right now — or two dudes — I’d say two dudes that aren’t on the trading block,” Horry said. “That’s Luka and Steph. Everybody else can be traded.”
He then talked about LeBron, claiming that the Lakers should trade James if the Brooklyn Nets offered Kevin Durant in exchange. That would be an incredible trade for the NBA, and Horry would agree to that without thinking twice.
“Hell yeah,” Horry said when asked for his opinion on whether the Lakers would move from James. “Let’s say I give you K.D. (Kevin Durant). … If you Rob Pelinka and someone says, ‘Okay, I’ll give you K.D. for LeBron,’ you have to do that trade.”
It would be crazy if this happens, but many people around the league think this is actually possible. Some have stated that LeBron is interested in a reunion with Kyrie Irving, but it’s hard to think that this is the way for the King. Perhaps a trade involving Russell Westbrook and Irving could do the job, but it’s too early to tell. The Nets won’t move Kyrie until after they deal Kevin Durant, so we have to see how this situation plays out for both the Nets and Lakers.
