The Los Angeles Lakers have been for the majority of their existence, the gold standard of the NBA. They have been the biggest attraction for stars around the league, with many big names opting to head to LA to make a name for themselves.
The latest big star to join their ranks was LeBron James back in 2018 and the King delivered the Lakers their first title since 2010 in his second season with the team in 2019-20. Things have been rough ever since, however, with the Lakers getting bounced in the first round in 2021 and they failed to make the playoffs in 2022. Some changes needed to be made, but the Lakers have failed to add any big names so far.
Fans trolled LeBron after the team signed Scotty Pippen Jr., Shareef O’Neal, and Thomas Bryant, stating that he has quite a squad now, with Pippen, O’Neal, and Bryant. That is, of course, referring to Hall of Famers Scottie Pippen, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kobe Bryant, with the latter two enjoying tremendous success with the team. A Laker fan on Twitter stated that if they had LeBron, Kobe, and Shaq on the same team, then they’d go undefeated and many tended to agree with that claim.

While 82-0 is probably a bit too much, this trio would be as formidable as one can get. LeBron and Shaq are two of the most physically dominant players in the history of the game, while Kobe provides that killer instinct that’s required to win in crunch time.
LeBron would sure love to have these guys with him on the Lakers right now, but Shareef and Thomas will have to do for now. He just might be getting Kyrie Irving on his team sooner rather than later, though, and that is a nice consolation prize if we can put it that way.
