Jordan Poole was one of the standout performers for the Golden State Warriors during this year’s playoff run. He averaged 17.0 PPG, 2.8 RPG, and 3.8 APG during the postseason, all while shooting 39.1% from beyond the arc.

It is quite clear that Jordan Poole is one of the most promising young combo guards in the league. His playoff run has just reinforced that notion, and if the Golden State Warriors want to keep him beyond next season, they will likely have to give him a lucrative contract.

It was recently reported by Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle that the Golden State Warriors want to retain Jordan Poole by giving him an extension worth around $100 Million over 4 years.

"Kevon Looney is expected to sign a multi-year deal with Golden State this summer worth roughly $6 million a year, and the Warriors want to sign Jordan Poole to an extension that could be around four years, $100 million." https://t.co/FFuRnvR8oc

The Warriors want to sign Jordan Poole to an extension that could be around four years, $100 million.

There is no doubt that Jordan Poole is a huge part of why the Golden State Warriors were able to win the championship this year. His scoring off the bench was crucial in multiple series, and he often made timely 3PT shots for the team. Poole is a huge part of the Golden State Warriors’ young core, which features lottery picks James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody.

The Golden State Warriors will have a fairly good chance of repeating next season, especially if they run it back. They could also sign some solid free agents to fill out their roster, and while it is unlikely that they’ll make a move for a star, they could be the most well-balanced team in the league.

Hopefully, the Golden State Warriors are able to retain Jordan Poole. He is a homegrown talent, and also a fan-favorite player. It seems as though the Warriors are working on doing just that, and we’ll have to wait for further updates on this situation.
