Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to an NBA championship and won a Finals MVP in the process. There is no doubt that he was the offensive force that drove them to the title, and he was absolutely the best player on the court during the NBA Finals.

After the game, Stephen Curry reflected on finally winning the Finals MVP award, pointing out that he’s seen others win it three times, and that he finally gets to take one home.

I’ve seen it up close and personal three times. Now I get to take this one home. I’m trying to be clever, I can’t be clever. This is amazing, this is freaking amaizng man. Keep your head down, keep working. Keep walking in your purpose, and good thing happen. You know what I’m saying? That’s the message… and we got four of them.

There is no question that Stephen Curry’s message is inspirational. While Kevin Durant and Andre Iguodala won the Finals MVPs during the past Golden State Warriors’ runs, Stephen Curry never got down on himself, and his hard work has finally paid off. It is clear that Stephen Curry never needed a Finals MVP to validate his career, but now that he has it, there’s no doubt it’s a welcome boost to his legacy.

Stephen Curry is an all-time great, but perhaps he could increase his standing and the way he is viewed among the legends of the game. Some people believe that he’s already a top-10 player of all time and that he could end up winning next year’s championship as well.

The Western Conference will be tough next season, with many talented players returning from injury. With that being said, the Golden State Warriors have nothing to be afraid of, so long as Stephen Curry is at the helm of the team.
