Boston Celtics Struggling To Sell Out TD Garden Ahead Of Game 6

The tickets for the NBA Finals have been extremely expensive since the day the matchup was decided to be between the Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors. For the first few games of the series, there were no good tickets for under $1000, with even the cheapest seats costing over $500.

Many Western Conference Finals tickets were extremely expensive as well, showing the demand for playoff basketball will lead to an inevitable spike in price. However, things appear to be changing in front of our eyes ahead of Game 6 in Boston.

The Warriors are one win away from hoisting the Larry O’Brien trophy in the presence of the 17 championship banners hanging in the rafters of the TD Garden. That possibility with the momentum of the series in the Warriors’ favor has caused tickets to lose their value by over half, falling from $1400 to get in the door to $600 now.

Boston fans losing hope?

At one point, Game 6 tickets were $1.4K each to get in the door.

Now, they’ve dropped to $600.

It’s a little shocking to see this, as a Finals game is a Finals game. But it does make sense. It would be a very sad way to spend over $1000 to watch your team lose on home court and see the opposing team lift the championship on your court. That’s a hard sight to watch.

Even if the Celtics pull out a dominant win in Game 6, the prices at the Chase Center will probably go even higher for Game 7. The final game of the season with all the marbles on the line is quite an exhilarating thought.

Game 6 is Boston’s last home game of the season, so this is the last time fans will be able to see the Celtics in action at the TD Garden this season. If nothing, the fans should at least show up to show appreciation to their guys for a wonderful season.
