With the Eastern Conference Finals wrapping up last night, we now know the Golden State Warriors and the Boston Celtics will face off in the NBA Finals this year.

Both teams have been phenomenal during this playoff run and will have a highly competitive series to determine who will take home the Larry O’Brien trophy when all is said and done. But who do the NBA fans think is going to win it all this year?

NBA fans on Twitter responded to Hoop Central’s post on Twitter asking for predictions of the NBA Finals. It was a fairly even split.

But most fans replying to the post noted that the Warriors would end the season as NBA champions, citing their championship pedigree and recent championship experience as the factors that gave them an advantage. But there were other fans who pointed out that the Celtics do have a good chance to pull off the upset.

The Celtics will be confident about their chances against the Warriors, despite the lack of experience their squad has in the NBA Finals.

Considering the Celtics swept the Nets with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, defeated the reigning NBA champions Milwaukee Bucks, and beat the 2020 NBA Finalists Miami Heat en route to the NBA Finals, the Celtics will feel as though they can defeat the Warriors, who have been one of the best teams during the playoffs.

As for the Warriors, they have no reason to doubt themselves, as they have been to this dance multiple times before. In fact, the Warriors recently matched the 1990s Chicago Bulls as the only team to reach the NBA Finals 6 times across 8 years.

Considering their recent success when it comes to winning the NBA championship, they will be willing to bet on themselves to do it again and win it all. Game 1 of the NBA Finals takes place on Thursday, June 2nd.
