Stephen A. Smith Destroys The Miami Heat For Awful Game 5 Performance: “They Resembled A Bunch Of Construction Workers Looking Like They’re Throwing Bricks All Over The Damn Place.”

The Boston Celtics moved one step closer to reaching the NBA Finals for the first time in 12 years, as they beat the Miami Heat in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Celtics were absolutely solid on defense, restricting the Miami Heat to 80 points as they defeated them by 13 points.

Miami looked fatigued against the Celtics, as this series has taken a toll on them. But Stephen A. Smith is not cutting the Heat any slack whatsoever.

Stephen A. Smith spoke after the Miami Heat lost to the Boston Celtics. He slammed the Heat for their offensive performance, noting that all the players looked tired and couldn’t make the shots they needed to.

Smith hilariously quipped that the Heat looked like construction workers on the court because they were throwing so many bricks out there on the court. It was not a good look for the Heat in Game 5 (1:05 onwards):

“One of the most horrific offensive performances you’ve ever seen. The Boston Celtics are an elite defensive team, we get all of that… Kyle Lowry, yeah he was 0-6, but we all know he’s hobbled, we all know he’s lucky to be out here because he has a bad hamstring injury. With Tyler Herro out with his hamstring injury, he had to try and give you all that he could but he just didn’t have it. Oladipo, an offensive weapon throughout the series, he shoots 1-7 from the field. Jimmy Butler, clearly hobbled by his knee injury, had no lift whatsoever, went out there and tried to give you his all but shot 4-18 from the field. I don’t care who you are, how great or putrid your defense is. If you can’t make shots, anybody can beat you. That was the Miami Heat tonight. They resembled a bunch of construction workers looking like they were throwing bricks all over the damn place. And that is why the Miami Heat are going to Boston, getting set to be eliminated from the conference finals this Friday night. My reservations are already made. I ain’t coming back to Miami.”

The Celtics were absolutely sensational on defense, as they have been known to be under head coach Ime Udoka. The Celtics now just stand one win away from reaching the NBA Finals for the first time since 2010.

It is now up to Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the rest of the Celtics that they close out the series in 6 games so that they can get some rest before they play in the NBA Finals.

Jayson Tatum isn’t ready to call the series just yet, as he told the rest of the world not to underestimate the Miami Heat, and that the series won’t be over until the Celtics finish the Heat once and for all. Game 6 will take place in Boston on Friday night.
